Rajasthan has long been regarded as the real
home of traditional Maharaja’s, besides a land packed with Forts and
Palaces of Maharaja’s, it is also home to a large population of tribals of
whom the Bhils and Minas form the largest groups. Stay in a Palace hotel,
enjoy a ride on Camel’s back, dine and dance in sand dunes. Discover a
whole new world as you meander down the centuries, while you are on
following trail.
Day 01 - Delhi
On arrival at Delhi
International airport, you will be met by our representative and
transferred to hotel, where we will be holding the rooms on ready
occupancy basis. This day or night is generally kept for relaxing,
overnight at hotel.
Day 02 - Delhi Sightseeing
In the morning take a city
tour covering Laxmi Narayan Temple – The Place of Gods, India Gate -
The memorial of martyrs, Parliament House – The Government
headquarters. In the afternoon take a city tour of Old Delhi
covering Jama Masjid - The largest mosque in Asia, Red Fort - The
red stone magic, Qutub Minar, Humayun's, Tomb and Gandhi memorial –
The memoir of father of the nation. One can enjoy the sound & light
show in the evening at the Red Fort. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 - Delhi -
Mandawa
Today drive to Mandawa : a
compact little town of Shekhavati region, Arrive and check in into
hotel. In the afternoon visit Havelis & beautiful frescoes. The
medieval fort of Mandawa gradually rises on the horizon like a
mirage. A painted arched gateway adorned with Lord Krishna and his
cows leads to the bazaar. Evening one can enjoy dinner with local
folk dance and music in the courtyard of the Hotel.
Day 04 - Mandawa -
Bikaner
In the morning drive to
Nawalgarh – the town where the finest of the Shekhavati’s frescoes
can be seen. It’s Havelis still bear witness to the rich &
prosperous Marwari era of the 19th century. Worth visiting are the
Aath Haveli complex, Anandilal Poddar Haveli, Bansidhar Bhagat
Haveli & Chokhani Haveli. Drive to Bikaner – Vale of Serenity, upon
arrival check in into hotel. Evening free to relax. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 05 - Bikaner
Today enjoy city tour
covering Junagarh Fort – constructed between 1588 and 1593 by Raja
Rai Singh, fort has a 986 meter long wall with 37 bastions & two
entrances, Bhand Sagar Temple – The 16th century Jain temple, is the
most important of this temple complex, Camel Breeding Farm – a
unique experience where you can ride on a camel & have perhaps the
first taste of camel’s milk. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 - Bikaner -
Jaisalmer
In the morning drive to
Jaisalmer – The Citadel City, Arrive and check into hotel. Afternoon
free to relax or enjoy the city atmosphere. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 - Jaisalmer
Today we enjoy a city tour
covering Jaisalmer Fort – built on the highest point of the Tricuta
hill, Sun Gate. Outstanding features are Megh Durbar & various
temples, Salim Singh-Ki-Haveli & Patwon–Ki-Haveli – some of the
beautiful mansions with stone carving and lattice work of breath
taking intricacy, Lodurwa – A masterpiece of architectural grandeur.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 - Jaisalmer
No trip to Jaisalmer is
complete without a visit to the most picturesque dunes. This day you
will visit Sam sand dunes. The ripples on the wind-caressed dunes
create enchanting mirages. Adventure freaks can go out on a camel
safari- getting the real feel of the desert on the camel back.

Day 09 - Jaisalmer -
Jodhpur
Today morning drive to
Jodhpur – The Desert enchantment, arrive and check in into hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 - Jodhpur
Full day city tour
covering Mehrangarh fort – unsurpassed in beauty & grandeur, it is
one of the largest forts in India. Innumerable palaces in the fort,
interspersed with sprawling courtyards, are intricately carved
Jaswant Thada – The 19th century royal cenotaph, a creation in white
marble, Clock tower – The timely treasure of Jodhpur. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 11 - Jodhpur -
Bundi
In the morning drive to
Bundi – A dream remembered, on arrival check in into hotel.
Afternoon you will be free to explore the surroundings. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 12 - Bundi -
Udaipur
In the morning drive to
Udaipur enroute visiting Ranakpur temples – the pilgrimage center of
Rajasthan a few of the numerous temples are Chaturmukh temples.
Arrive and check in into hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13 - Udaipur
Today enjoy city tour
covering Sahelion – Ki – Bari – The garden for the maids of honour
of the queen. Jagdish Temple – dedicated to Lord Vishnu &
approachable by a broad flight of steps, the shrine is a rectangular
platform on the lines of Indo-Aryan style of architecture, City
Palace – located amidst Lake Pichola, Eklingji & Nagda Temples –
built in white marble with a double storied porch. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 14 - Udaipur -
Pushkar
Today drive to Pushkar –
the city of Brahma, on arrival check in into hotel. Rest of the day
free to relax. Overnight at hotel.
Day 15 - Pushkar - Jaipur
In the morning half take a
city tour covering Jagat Pita Shri Brahma Temple – The only
exquisite temple dedicated to Lord Brahma, Apteshwar Mahadeo Temple
– Dedicated to Lord Shiva : head towards Jaipur not missing the
Dargah of Sufi Saint Moinuddin Chishti, entered through a high
gateway with silver doors. The grave of the saint is surrounded by a
silver railing. Arrive and check in into hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 16 - Jaipur
In the morning take an
excursion to Amer fort with joy ride on an Elephant. In the
afternoon take a city tour covering City Palace – occupies a large
area divided into a series of courtyards, gardens & buildings and a
perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture, Royal Observatory
– An observatory with some rare qualities to its credit, Nawab Sahab
Ki Haveli – and the Bazaar etc. Overnight at hotel.
Day 17 - Jaipur -
Agra
Today morning drive to
Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri (Old Deserted town of Mughal
Dynasty) Jama Masjid / The Buland Darwaza / Palace of Jodha Bai/Birbal
Bhawan & Panch Mahal. On arrival check in into hotel. Free to enjoy
the city atmosphere. Overnight at hotel.
Day 18 - Agra -
Delhi
Morning city tour covering
Taj Mahal – a poem written in white marble, the most extravagant
monument ever built for love, Red Fort – a visit to the fort in
‘Agra’ is must since so many of the events which lead to the
construction of the Taj took place here, Itmad-ud-daula’s Tomb – The
tomb is of particular interest since many of its design elephants
overshadow the Taj. Afternoon drive back to Delhi. On arrival we
will take you to hotel where we will be holding the rooms for wash &
change. Have your dinner and late night transfer to International
Airport to board flight to home. |
